29/March Update: We have about 20 places left and are leaving online entry open for another day. We hope to be able to accommodate on-the-day entries (a few people have contacted us) but book online to be sure! If you have your own SI kit you will be sure of turn-up place.
28/March Update: Hot soup will be available for finishers, we have showers too so please stay around for prize-giving including some new awards from Buff.
27/March Update: For those wondering about conditions:I was out early this morning and though there was the lightest of snow in the air the tracks were completely dry and fast and I even spotted some rare blue sky (no promises for Saturday mind!).The dry wind means that it doesn’t feel that bad (I was out in a pertex and light gloves I got free with a magazine and soon got too hot).Conditions are pretty fast, we may close a couple of controls depending on the weather later in the week but so-far so-good
With over 60 km square of tracks, paths, singletrack, bridges, hills, rivers, forest and stunning viewpoints the opening event of the 2013 SMBO series is a cracker!
A new event location, Aberfoyle offers great cycling as well as facilities for friends and family to enjoy
With mapping surveyed over the autumn and winter the A4 1:40,000 OS base map has been updated with miles of additional tracks to ensure even the locals will discover something new.
Controls have been located to bring out the best in discovery of Aberfoyle and Loch Ard with some great route choices and unusual locations.

There is even a bike-wash at the community garage in the village so get your legs warmed up and head out for an Easter surprise hunt.
