Event Report
"I am glad that is over. I can now go back to Wednesday nights on the sofa" was the tongue in cheek remark as Richard Wren sealed victory in the 2015 Allerdale Bike Challenge by winning his fourth event out of the 5 event series!//

//Now in its third year the series has proved more popular than ever with the record turnout being broken on three occasions. The main change made to the format this year was a response the feedback last year. The number of controls was increased to 25 to create more route choice and to break up the 'obvious loop' more. This also enabled us to have more controls close in to help the younger riders build a bigger score as well as putting the odd control further afield to stop the fast riders just going for the 'clean sweep'. The format is always going to evolve and we welcome your feedback to help us do this.//
////
//We would like to thank the venues for hosting the series this year. Some old favourites such 4 Play Cycles, Dunes Bistro and Mae's tearoom welcomed us back. A venture outside of Allerdale in to Copeland was very successful due to the hospitality of the Dog & Partridge who despite losing their cook managed to feed everyone after a very wet ride. King Kong Climbing Centre hosted the remaining event in Keswick which once again proved to be the most popular event. We are always on the look out for new venues and areas. If you have any ideas let us know. //
////
//Thanks also to sponsors Buff who provided many of the prizes once again, Nutrition 4 for the High 5 products and Cotswold Outdoors for the discount vouchers.//
////
//Biggest thanks must go to all of you, the riders, who have made the series a big success again this year. //
////
//Congratulations to all of the prize winners, too many to mention, but a special well done to Kate Charles and Richard Wren who took the overall honours. Full results are on the BMBO website.//
////
//We hope to have a 4th series next year and as ever are looking for ideas and feedback from you to make it better than ever. So if you can drag yourselves from the sofa again next year the provisional dates will be 25th May, 8th June, 22nd June, 6th July & 20th July. //
////
//Many thanks and look forward to seeing you next year.//
