Event Report
This Event continues to be one of our finest, we advise that May and June are probably the best time to ride the routes on Mynydd Llangorse and around the Troed as the ground has dried out and the bracken is yet to take hold; the area featured in MBUK a few months ago and they rode in a mud fest, how different Sunday was! It was great to see some new riders and judging by the chatter after you’ll be back for more fun.//
////
//The trails we in great condition and the weather was near perfect, these favourable conditions certainly helped competitors amass some great scores. The only frustration was the closure of the route up the Allt from the East which made CP 12 difficult to locate when approached from the South.//
////
//Congratulations go to Ian Cartwright (M50) the overall winner who opted for a clockwise circuit and amassed 430 pts from a total of 500 on offer. Also well done to second place Andy Hilder (M40) on 360 pts just ahead of Michael Holloway (M21) on 348 pts in third, the other category winners are on the results page. //
////
//Thank you for supporting our chosen charity – Brecon Beacons Mountain Rescue Team will receive £53 collected on the day.//
////
//As normal I would also like to thank the team of helpers for their invaluable support getting the event off the ground and the brilliant refreshments afterwards. Especially John and Charlie for running the start, then going off and winning the non-competitive Generation Team category with 80 pts.//
