Posted: 03/09/11
After a summer break the National MTBO League gets under way once again. There are still a number of age classes to be decided as well as the overall champions for 2011.
First up is Chopwell Woods on Tyneside. This popular venue was last used in 2007 and now boasts an updated map with new sections of single track to entice you.
To make a weekend of it why not stop off at Driffield on the Sunday for an informal event run by Steve Willis. Last used in the 2010 it should provide a fast and furious ride around the old airfield and a provide a few surprises again!
15th October sees the action move to Tankersley on the outskirts of Sheffield. This is an area well known to foot orienteers but new to MTBO. Killian Lomas will be providing the entertainment.
The final event revisits Gisburn Forest but will now boast a brand new Orienteering style map thanks to Alan Hartley. The event will also host the final 2011 prize giving.
Full details of all of these events can be found on the calendar.
