Notice of Resignation

Dear all,

After speaking to John and discovering the content of the Annual General Meeting held on Sunday 6th November 2016, I find my position of Secretary to British Mountain Bike Orienteering no longer tenable.

The committee members present at the Anual General Metting have completely undermined the process of an Annual General Meeting and have acted wholly unconstitutional.

I sent Emails to all committee members asking for thoughts surrounding implementing the 'rotating chairman' to which I received no response. Not only this but no nominations for any position were constitutionally submitted prior to the Annual General Meeting as requested in news articles submitted on the British Mountain Bike Orienteering website or within member bulk email shots. This means that the wider membership have not had a chance to respond as they are entitled to.

Due to my concerns listed, I cannot morally continue to be a part of the committee of an unconstitutional and down right unprofessional organisation.

I hereby give you notice of my resignation with immediate effect for the posistions of Secretary of British Mountain Bike Orienteering and Membership Secretary for British Mountain Bike Orienteering.

I wish you all the very best of luck and hope that British Mountain Bike Orienteering can utilise my concerns and criticisms to take stock and work to become an organisation which will have some authority in the future.
