October 2020 Update//
//COVID 19//
//Since the last update the COVID situation has changed significantly. We are now well into the feared second spike of Corona cases and Boris has introduced his rule of 6 and the three-tier system to make it all so much easier to understand!//
//Under the three-tier system there are no demands to suspend organised outdoor activities providing adequate precautions are in place to help prevent the spread of the virus. Therefore, we see no reason to suspend events providing the guidelines issued earlier are followed. The main changes affecting our events will be concern travel to and from areas that are in the higher tiers. We would like to remind you of the following://
// Follow the government health advice. Hands-Face-Space.//
// Do not come to events if you display any of the symptoms of COVID 19//
// Respect the rule of 6 and social distancing. Especially at the start and finish of an event.//
// Travel outside your local area should be for essential reasons only if you live in tier 3 and to be avoided if you live in tier 2. Please do not enter events if this applies to you.//
// Events should not be planned in areas covered by tiers 2 and 3.//
// The tiers only apply to England. Wales and Scotland, as well as local regions, may well have different restrictions that should be followed.//
//Refunds - The onus is on riders to be responsible and adhere to local restrictions. If you are no longer able to compete please contact John Houlihan at membership@bmbo.org.uk to request a refund. //

//If you are unsure of your responsibilities, details can be found by following the link on the Test and Trace App or www.gov.uk/coronavirus//
////
//****In light of recent speculation of a full lockdown this advice may well change.****//

//National MBO Score League 2020//
//It was intended that after the lockdown in spring that there may be enough events being staged to complete a league. Unfortunately, the situation has continued for longer than hoped and there have not been enough events to make a meaningful league. Various options have been discussed but, in the end, we have made the decision to abandon the league for 2020. //
//Normally the 2021 league would start on 1st November but as the situation is anything but clear at present, no decision has yet been made. In the meantime, results of any events that take place will be held on file in the hope that a 2021 league will happen at some stage.//

//AGM 2020//
//It is clear that an AGM cannot take place in the usual format. We are going to try to hold a less formal meeting by Microsoft Team on Monday 23rd November at 8pm. To keep the meeting brief we will submit the reports beforehand and use the meeting time for any motions or discussions. //
//The agenda and reports will be sent out prior to the meeting.//
//If you would like to be included in the meeting, email the chairman@bmbo.org.uk by Wed 18th November and a link will be sent to you.//
//If you have any proposals for the agenda or nominations for posts then please send them via email to the chairman as soon as possible.//
