29 riders travelled across to North Norfolk for the event in a brand new area. Despite the 3 previous days being wintery storms on the morning of the event the sun shone through to welcome the riders. With over 100km of byways & bridleways on the mapped area, route choice was everything and Nuno Cerqueira proved the best on the day visiting 25 of the 27 checkpoint locations and after his 20 penalty points deduction finished on a tally of 445 out of a possible 500. In second place was host club member Andrew Waller 59 points adrift on 386 and David White and Mark Rowley were tied in 3rd on 360. The event saw lots of newbies to the sport as well with everyone enjoying the riding in the spring conditions and some mentioned about the lack of gated tracks and how free flowing everywhere was.
Organiser Neil Holman said" Although I am disappointed with the turn out number, on the other hand I am very pleased that 29 riders had faith in me and my team and took a gamble to travel across to a completely new and untested area. I have been riding these tracks and trails for years as I have family near by and I am happy to share the love I have for the area with others.
