We promised you a flat event this week but unfortunately the Met Office had other ideas and provided a strong SW wind to make up for the lack of climbing. The Inn at the Bush Kirkbride was a new event venue for us and it gave the opportunity to tackle the area from a different direction. For many of you it probably introduced you to areas that you do not normally reach.
Many thanks to Colin and his team at the Inn for looking after you all after your exertions. It was such a shame that we could not make use of the excellent outdoor areas because of the wind. It was a lonely existence outside on my own with only the computer to talk to!!!
Well done Tom Gibbs for another good ride. I am sure that without the wind he would have cleared the course.
Next week is the final event of the 2022 series. Back to one of our favourite venues, Mae's Tea Room at Uldale where we are assured a good welcome and fine fare.
The series prize giving will take place after the event. There will be prizes for each age category as well as an E Bike category. The league table will be emailed out separately so have a look and you may be surprised to find that you are in the hunt for a prize. In any case stick around and enjoy the ambience and good food whilst you discuss where it all went wrong (or right)!
