Revisiting a similar area to last year and once again using Ebrington Hill and the flatter northern area the map extended to a rolling area to the east not used last year. The map was divided by The Fosse Way, with only 3 crossing points, route choice was important with many deciding not to cross the Fosse or to cross the Fosse and not cover Ebrington Hill.
The trails were in great condition, from being hard packed after the recent heatwaves and lack of rain they were softened by the short sharp storms of the previous week.
It was doubtful the course would be cleared and this proved to be the case. Ian Cartwright gained most points taking in 22 controls. Followed by Kevin Horsley and Jason Howell.
Michael Rackham was first ebike and Beth Perrou was top lady.
There were many 1st timers, all came back with lots of stories, good to see they had enjoyed their first event. Great to see new faces, hopefully they'll give another event a go.
Thanks to everyone for riding and thanks to Ian Haigh on the computer, Lance, Steve and Diz
