The second Lakes MBO of 2025 enjoyed the last of the glorious weather that the Lakes has experienced over the last two weeks. The trails were dry, fast running and appreciated by all judging by all of the smiling faces at the end.

Many thanks to Dave Cowgill for all of his work ensuring that the event was a success. Also a big thank you to Hawkshead school for allowing us to use their building. A donation to school funds will be going their way. We hope that you took advantage of the discount kindly offered by the Minstrel Gallery after the event.

A big well once again to Tom Gibbs who very nearly cleared the course within the time limit. First EBiker was Mike Hayward, First Mixed team Becky Scott & Chris Lates while Angela Brand-Barker and Charlie Somers Cocks were first Women’s team. Well done to all. I know that you have barely had time to clean your bikes but just a reminder that the closing date for discounted entries to the Lorton event on the 27th April is Thursday 17th. Final closing date is the 24th April but just a warning that on the last two events we have almost had to turn people away due to lack of maps caused by late entries.
