Event Report
Helmets off to our top four riders today: Nick, Ian, Ifor & Sion, who were significantly ahead of the rest. Winner Nick scored an amazing 505 and Ian visited 26 of the 30 controls. Interestingly all four took different routes and between them they visited every control. My intention was to give you lots of route choices, including from the start and avoid obvious circuits so I'm glad to see some variety in the routes. //

//A couple of controls did get tampered with, including control no 2 which was hidden by someone at some stage. However the excellent security provided by the MBO hire kit meant that no hardware was lost. But apologies to anyone if this reduced their enjoyment of the day. Note for future event organisers - if marking control positions with red and white tape, it seems that dangling tassels disappear while tape wrapped tightly around a post or tree is left alone. Whether this is because the tassels scare the horses or just look untidy I don't know but I suggest tight tape next time.//

//This was my first attempt at planning an MBO course, it seemed to go well, and thanks for all the positive feedback. I am, of course, very grateful to WIll and Faye for their help in preparing and support on the day. Thanks to you all for coming and for supporting the MacMillan Cancer Support cake stall.//

//In case you were wondering, in the rival competition taking place at the Memorial Hall today, the biggest onion weighed in at an impressive 3lb 2oz.//
